He will evaluate a couple's fertility and offer a choice of treatments. These range from simple cycle-tracking with timed sexual intercourse or insemination into the womb, to sophisticated treatments such as:
- in vitro fertilisation (IVF)
- intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
- embryo freezing
- treatment with donor eggs or sperm
Your treatment will be planned and monitored from Mr Cowan's consulting rooms. If special laboratory facilities are needed, for example for in vitro fertilisation, he will treat you at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine in London.
