Mr Cowan's practice is at 214 Great Portland Street, across the road from the Portland Hospital (see how to find us). Being separate from the main hospital, it provides privacy for his patients, particularly those attracting media attention.
His consulting rooms are on the third floor of the building, reached by lift or stairs. The large waiting area is comfortable and private. Mr Cowan usually meets patients in his office and carries out examinations and scans in an adjoining room.
In an office next door are his two secretaries and his nurse, who ensure the smooth running of the practice. The secretaries handle all enquires and make bookings for appointments and operations. Mr Cowan makes a point of keeping to time.
